Can I take herbs alongside my medication? In most cases, yes. I'm trained to identify potential interactions and work safely alongside conventional medicine. I can liaise with your GP or consultant if needed. Never stop prescribed medication without medical advice.

What happens in a consultation? Your first consultation lasts 60-90 minutes. We discuss your health concerns in detail, your medical history, lifestyle, diet, sleep, stress levels, and overall wellbeing. I may check your blood pressure and pulse. We then create a treatment plan together.
Do you offer online consultations? Yes! Online consultations via Zoom are just as comprehensive as in-person appointments. Your herbal formula is posted to you.

How often do I need follow-up appointments? Typically every 4-6 weeks initially, then less frequently as your health improves. Some clients maintain quarterly check-ins for ongoing support.

What form do herbal remedies take? Most commonly, I prescribe liquid tinctures (alcohol-based extracts) taken in water. I also use teas, capsules, creams, and ointments depending on your needs.
How do I take my herbal medicine? Tinctures are usually taken 2-3 times daily, mixed with water or juice. I provide clear written instructions with your remedy.
What if I don't like the taste? Herbal medicine doesn't always taste pleasant! You can mix tinctures with juice, add honey, or take them with food. Some clients prefer capsules.

Where are you located?
I practice in Darwen and Whalley, Lancashire. Online consultations are available for clients anywhere in the UK.
Do you offer home visits? Not currently, but online consultations provide excellent care from the comfort of your home.
Can I claim on health insurance? Some private health insurance policies cover herbal medicine. Check with your provider. I can provide receipts for claims.
What's your cancellation policy? Please provide 48 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
